Çetin was swiftly transported to Aydın Ataturk State Hospital, but despite all medical interventions, he could not be saved.
His sudden death has left family, friends, and colleagues in deep sorrow, with many expressing shock and grief over the untimely loss of a respected figure in local journalism.
Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu took to Instagram to share her condolences, stating, "I wish God’s mercy upon him and extend my deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones."

He served for many years as the editor-in-chief of Aydınpost Newspaper and was elected president of the Aydın Journalists Association (AGC) in January 2025.
