Tragic Accident in Ankara: Person Killed by Broken Truck Tire
A devastating incident occurred in the Elmadağ district of Ankara, where a person lost their life after being hit by a broken truck tire. The incident took place as a truck was travelling in the Samsun-Ankara direction and passing over the Martyr Cengizhan Kaplan Bridge when its tire suddenly burst for reasons yet to be determined.
The broken tire struck Rukiye Bera Eraslan (18), who was walking on foot at the time. Promptly after the accident, police and medical teams rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Despite the efforts of the medical teams, Eraslan could not be saved and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the truck driver involved in the accident was detained by the police for further investigation. The authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the cause of the tire blowout and prevent similar accidents from happening in the future.
