Tragic deaths of poisoned couple in Fethiye
A tragic incident occurred in the Yeni Neighborhood on 1214 Street, where Cemile and Mehmet B. resided on the first floor of a two-story house. The relatives of the couple became concerned when they were unable to reach them and promptly contacted the 112 Call Center to report their absence.
Upon receiving the alert, emergency response teams including home health, fire brigade, and police were dispatched to the location. Upon entering the house, the teams made a grim discovery – both Cemile and Mehmet had tragically lost their lives.
It was determined that the couple had been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas, leading to their untimely demise. Following the investigation at the scene, the bodies of the couple were taken to the morgue at Fethiye State Hospital.
The news of the couple’s passing brought great sorrow to their children and relatives. This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of being vigilant and aware of potential dangers in the home, such as carbon monoxide poisoning.
