Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Lives of Child and Teenager in Tekirdag’s Waters
Two people have tragically lost their lives in separate incidents while swimming in Yeniçiftlik Mahallesi. Utku Aslan, who went into the sea with his friends, disappeared and prompted authorities to take immediate action. The coast guard teams, along with health and gendarmerie units, were dispatched to the area to search for Aslan. Eventually, the coast guard teams were successful in locating Aslan and brought him ashore. However, despite the efforts of medical teams, Aslan unfortunately passed away.
Shortly after this incident, another person named Özgür Çakan also faced a tragic fate while swimming in the same location. It was reported that Çakan suffered from epilepsy and experienced a seizure while in the sea. Concerned individuals promptly notified the authorities about the situation. Medical teams arrived at the scene and managed to rescue Çakan from the water. Nonetheless, Çakan could not be saved and also lost his life.
These incidents have cast a shadow of sorrow over the Yeniçiftlik Mahallesi community. The loss of two young lives in such a short period of time is heartbreaking. Authorities are reminded to ensure the safety of swimmers by properly monitoring the beaches and raising awareness about potential risks.
