Tragic Fall: 46 killed as Military Plane Crashes in Sudan
A military aircraft of Antonov type crashed in Umdurman, Sudan, resulting in the tragic deaths of 46 individuals, including both soldiers and civilians. The incident took place during the departure of the plane, causing casualties among military personnel and civilians alike.
The ongoing conflict between the army and the Paramiliter Fast Support Forces (RSF) has led to this unfortunate accident. The Khartoum Regional Administration’s media office confirmed the death toll and stated that 10 individuals had also sustained injuries in the crash.
The Ministry of Health reported that at least 19 people had lost their lives, with 10 others, including children, being injured and taken to EN-NEV hospital for treatment.
Surveying the wreckage, authorities determined that the military plane had fallen shortly after departing from the Valley Sayyidna military base in Umdurman. The Sudanese army expressed their condolences for the lives lost and acknowledged the impact on both civilians and soldiers.
