Tragic House Fire Claims Lives of Mother and Infant in Adana
Tragedy Strikes as Mother and Son Lose Their Lives in Adana Apartment Fire
A devastating fire broke out on the second floor of a three-storey apartment building in the TOKİ Residences in Suluca District of Central Sarıçam district. The fire brigade, health, and police teams rushed to the scene upon receiving the notice of the fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters immediately took action to extinguish the flames, while police teams secured the surrounding area. Thanks to their swift response, the fire was contained before it could spread to other floors. Unfortunately, C.B. was rescued from the building with injuries.
As the teams searched the house, they made a heartbreaking discovery. Mother Meryem El Makrum and her 1-year-old son Memet Emin B had tragically lost their lives in the fire. The bodies of the mother and son were then taken to the morgue of the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute for further examinations.
Meanwhile, the father, C.B., who was injured in the fire, was transported to the Adana City Training and Research Hospital for treatment. His condition is currently being closely monitored by medical professionals.
