Tragic Incident in Antalya: Man Sets Himself on Fire in Wardrobe
A tragic incident took place at 3:00 PM in the Güzeloba neighborhood on 2134th Street, where a fire broke out on the first floor of a three-story apartment building. The residents of the apartment noticed the smoke and immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center. The police and firefighters quickly arrived at the scene after receiving the report.
Upon reaching the location, the firefighters entered the apartment, which was filled with thick smoke, by breaking the locked door. During their search, they discovered the body of Ugur M (57) in the wardrobe, where he was found burned. The Crime Scene Investigation and Murder Bureau teams are currently investigating the incident, focusing on the possibility of arson involving flammable substances. Additionally, a tablet found in the wardrobe, which was believed to have captured the incident, was taken to the police station for further examination.
Following the investigation by the crime scene teams, the body of Ugur M was transported to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
