Porsuk Stream Incident: Heroic Rescue and Search Efforts Underway
In a shocking turn of events, two individuals, Hulusi Taha Pınar and Fatih Er, found themselves in a life-threatening situation while passing through Nilay Street in Kırmızıtoprak Mahallesi. The evening took a dramatic turn when the two friends began to struggle in the Porsuk Stream. Fortunately, Enes Hasan Şen, who was sitting nearby with his friends, noticed their distress and immediately jumped into the water to save them.
Şen’s quick action proved to be crucial as he successfully brought Pınar to safety. Health teams arrived promptly after being notified by the onlookers and provided immediate medical attention to Pınar. Due to prolonged exposure to water, Pınar’s condition remains critical, and his life is still at risk. He was rushed to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
The search efforts for Fatih Er, who went missing in the Porsuk Stream, have been intensified. Police, firefighters, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), and health teams, along with AKUT (Search and Rescue Association), Dorlion Search and Rescue (DAK), and Odunpazarı Municipality Search and Rescue (OBAK) teams, have been deployed to the area. Divers from the search and rescue teams have entered the Porsuk Stream and initiated the search for Fatih Er.
Enes Hasan Şen, the hero who risked his life to save Hulusi Taha Pınar, recounted the incident, saying, “We were sitting with friends by the Porsuk Stream. The two individuals swimming in the water were joking around, and I observed from a distance. Suddenly, I noticed they were struggling and in imminent danger of drowning. Without hesitation, I removed my clothes and jumped into the water. I managed to rescue one person, but unfortunately, I lost sight of the other in the water.”
The search operations, including the use of divers, continue in an effort to locate Fatih Er. It has been discovered that Er is a soldier stationed in Şırnak and had been granted air change permission 15 days ago.
The Porsuk Stream incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of water safety and vigilance, particularly during recreational activities. Authorities urge the public to exercise caution and adhere to safety protocols to prevent similar accidents in the future.
The local community remains hopeful that Fatih Er will be found safe and unharmed, while simultaneously praying for Hulusi Taha Pınar’s swift recovery. The entire incident has left the community in shock, emphasizing the need for increased awareness and measures to ensure the safety of individuals near water bodies.
