Tragic Loss: Mother dies on the way to feed 5-day-old baby
A tragic accident has shaken the community in Bursa, Turkey. Bilal Keskin, a police officer at the Bursa Police Department’s Riot Unit, was involved in a fatal car crash while on his way to deliver breast milk to his 5-day-old baby who was hospitalized in a private hospital. The incident took place at around 07.30 on Yunuseli Boulevard in the central Osmangazi district.
Witnesses who saw the accident immediately alerted the authorities, and both police and medical teams rushed to the scene. Keskin, who was critically injured in the crash, was quickly taken to Çekirge State Hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Keskin tragically succumbed to his injuries.
A funeral ceremony was held at the Provincial Police Department for Bilal Keskin, with the attendance of Provincial Police Chief Sabit Akın Zaimoğlu, deputy directors, branch managers, and fellow police officers. The officer’s body was later transported to his hometown in Giresun’s Güce district, Kemaliye District, for burial.
The Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the accident to determine the cause of the crash. The community is left mourning the loss of a dedicated police officer who tragically lost his life while trying to care for his newborn child.
