Tragic Tanker Accident Claims 24 Lives in Uganda
The death toll in the tragic tanker accident that occurred on the Kampala-Bombo road in Uganda has risen, according to Communications Minister Godfrey Kabbyanga. The Minister stated that 13 of those who were receiving treatment in the hospital have now passed away, bringing the total number of fatalities to 24.
The accident, which took place on October 22, involved a tanker that lost control and overturned on the busy road. Initial reports indicate that 11 individuals were killed in the explosion that ensued as the fuel-laden tanker caught fire.
