Condolences Pour in for Soldiers Martyred in Tunceli
The nation is in mourning following the tragic loss of four soldiers who were martyred when their armored vehicle overturned while on duty in the Ovacık district of Tunceli. Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun were among those who expressed their condolences for the fallen heroes.
In a statement on social media, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz extended his sympathies to the families of Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeants Ömer Eroğlu, Mehmet Aykanat, Orhan Burak Büyükçaylı, and Gendarmerie Specialist Corporal Doğan Kızılateş. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers, offering prayers for their well-being.
Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun also shared his condolences on social media, paying tribute to the martyred soldiers and offering support to their families and the Gendarmerie Organization. The nation stands united in grief for the loss of these brave soldiers.
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş also expressed his sadness over the incident, emphasizing the sacrifice made by the soldiers in serving their country. Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc echoed these sentiments, offering prayers for the martyred soldiers and their families, along with hopes for a swift recovery for the injured soldier.
