TRNC: A Constant Source of Pride
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulates President Ersin Tatar on the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. In his message, Erdoğan emphasized the pride he feels for the independence and future struggle of the Turkish Cypriots and the establishment of the TRNC in 1983. He praised the heroic struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people and emphasized the importance of protecting the state established with determination.
Erdoğan also called on the international community to recognize the independence of the TRNC and establish diplomatic, political, and economic ties with the country. He stressed the need to respect the rights and laws of all parties in the Eastern Mediterranean and find a solution to the Cyprus issue based on the realities on the island.
The Turkish President expressed his belief that with an approach based on the facts on the ground, it may be possible for the two states on the island to live side by side in peace and cooperate. He concluded his message by extending congratulations to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot people, wishing them a peaceful, safe, and prosperous future.
