TRNC Delegation to Attend İsias Hotel Case Hearing on October 22 in Adıyaman
The trial of the Isias Hotel case is set to continue on Tuesday, October 22, at Adıyaman 3rd High Criminal Court. This case revolves around the tragic deaths that occurred at the Adıyaman Isias Hotel during the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6.
A significant delegation from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will be present at the four hearings of this lawsuit. Led by the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association, this delegation will include members from various non-governmental organizations, political parties, lawyers, families of the victims, and journalists who will travel to Adıyaman on Monday.
In the lead up to the fourth hearing of the Isias Hotel case, the Champion Angels Keeping Alive Association has initiated the “3 minutes of darkness for justice” campaign. This initiative has garnered support from numerous institutions, organizations, and the general public, who participate by turning off their lights every night between 8:00 PM and 8:03 PM.
Ruşen Karakaya, the President of the Association, emphasized the importance of ensuring that the suspects in the case are tried with due diligence and intention. He stated that true justice can only be achieved through a fair trial process and emphasized, “We want justice, our fight continues.” The association is dedicated to seeking justice for the victims and their families, and they are determined to see this case through to its conclusion.
