TRNC Voters Can Cast Ballots for Turkey’s Presidential Election Second Round in May

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Hold Second Round of Presidential Elections

The second round of the presidential elections in Turkey will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between May 20-24. The Supreme Election Board (YSK) has prepared an Election Calendar for the second round, which will follow the same process as the first round. Ballot boxes will be set up in three centers – Nicosia, Famagusta, and Güzelyurt – and voters can choose to cast their vote in any of these centers.

While voters in Nicosia and Famagusta will have four days to vote, those in Güzelyurt will have only two. The voting process will take place at Atatürk Sports Hall in Nicosia, Lala Mustafa Paşa Sports Palace in Famagusta, and Dr. Fazıl Küçük Sports Hall in Güzelyurt on May 20-24. Voters can cast their vote between 08:00 and 22:00 on weekdays and weekends.

The ballot papers for the two candidates, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the candidate of the People’s Alliance, and CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the candidate of the Nation Alliance, will not be changed in ranking.

The propaganda period for the two candidates began yesterday.
