Truck Fire in Kocaeli Causes Transportation Disruption to Ankara
A fire broke out in a truck loaded with washing machines in the Diliskele District of Kocaeli, Turkey. The incident occurred on the highway, when the fire started from the brake pads and quickly engulfed the trailer.
Thankfully, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality fire crews were quick to respond to the situation. The driver of the truck took precautions by detaching the tow truck from the trailer before the fire spread further.
As a result of the fire, the Ankara direction of the highway had to be closed for a period of time. However, thanks to the efforts of the fire teams, the road was reopened to vehicle traffic once the situation was under control.
