Trump Announces: US Begins Production of F-47 Fighter Jets at Last Minute
President Trump announced the United States’ transition to the world’s first 6th generation fighter aircraft, known as the F-47, during a ceremony at the Oval Office.
“With my instruction, the United States Air Force will transition to the F-47, which will be the most developed, most talented, and deadly plane ever made. Generals have chosen this name for the new generation aircraft,” Trump stated.
The President revealed that an experimental version of the F-47 has been flying secretly for almost 5 years, and a new fleet of these planes will be built and operational in the coming years. Trump also emphasized that the F-47 will incorporate cutting-edge technologies, including the ability to fly with drones.
“This is a new technology, flying with as many drones as we want. Our enemies will not even see F-47 coming. They won’t know what’s hitting themselves,” Trump explained.
According to CNN Turkish US correspondent Yunus Paksoy, the contract for the US 6th generation fighter aircraft was awarded to Boeing, and the first plane will be the F-47. Trump also mentioned that they have ordered a substantial number of aircraft, but he did not disclose the price.
