Trump Deletes Post on Election Results After Backlash

Former US President Donald Trump faced backlash and had to delete a post from his Truth Social account, which included a video portraying him as the winner of the 2024 US presidential elections. The video, which featured the term “Unified Reich”, sparked controversy as it was perceived as imitating Nazi Germany and containing racist and antisemitic undertones similar to those found in Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
Criticism arose regarding the headlines in the video, such as “What will happen in the USA after Donald Trump wins?” and the statement about deporting 15 million illegal immigrants. Members of the Democratic Party condemned these messages.
In response, US President Joe Biden’s election campaign spokesman, James Singer, emphasized that Trump’s actions were not to be taken lightly. Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, clarified that the video was not part of their campaign and was mistakenly shared by a staff member who did not realize the implications of the term used.
The controversial post was eventually removed after being online for 19 hours. This incident adds to the criticism Trump has faced for his extremist rhetoric and alleged similarities to language used in Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
