Trump Denies Harris’ Proposal for Live Broadcast
With the November 5 presidential election in the United States quickly approaching, the possibility of another live debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is once again being discussed.
In a statement from Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign office, it was announced that Harris is willing to participate in a live debate with Trump on CNN on October 23rd.
However, Trump, responding to Harris’ call from a campaign rally in North Carolina, rejected the proposal stating, “The problem with another debate is that it’s too late, early voting has already started.”
Trump had previously debated with US President Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate before Harris, on June 27th, and then faced off against Harris on September 10th.
Following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race in July, this year’s presidential elections have taken on a new dynamic with Kamala Harris representing the Democrats and Donald Trump representing the Republicans.
According to nationwide polls in the US, Harris is currently slightly ahead of Trump with 49.3 percent of the vote, while Trump is at 47.4 percent.
As the election draws nearer, the question of whether there will be a final debate between Harris and Trump remains unanswered, leaving voters and the nation waiting for further developments in this tense and pivotal election year.
