During his speech, Trump referenced the two recent assassination attempts on his life and insinuated that Iran may have been involved. He pointed out that despite the presence of a large security force protecting the President of Iran in New York for the UN General Assembly, threats were still being made against him as a former US president and potential future president.
Trump took to his personal platform called “Truth Social” to announce that Iran had made moves against him in the past, and that the entire US military was on alert and prepared for any further attempts. This comes after Trump was shot and wounded during a campaign rally in July, and a second attempt was thwarted while he was playing golf in Florida.
