Tragic Accident on D-400 Highway Leads to Loss of Life After 12 Days
A devastating accident took place on February 24th at noon on the D-400 highway between Mersin and Adana. A TIR truck, whose driver remains unidentified, struck Türkan Tunç while attempting to cross the road. Emergency health and police teams rushed to the scene following a distress call. Tunç, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately transported to Tarsus State Hospital for medical treatment.
Unfortunately, after 12 days of fighting for his life in the hospital’s intensive care unit, Türkan Tunç succumbed to his injuries. The loss of life following this tragic accident has left family and friends in mourning.
The incident was captured on security cameras at a nearby workplace, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the collision. The investigation into the accident is ongoing as authorities work to determine the cause and hold accountable those responsible.
