Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır Highlights Importance of Investments in Turkey
Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır recently participated in a television program where he discussed the significance of investments made in Turkey. During the program, Kacır referenced an interview with BYD Vice President and BYD America CEO Stella Li, where she emphasized the potential impact of Chinese investments in Turkey.
Li stated that Chinese tourists spend around 200 billion dollars globally each year and expressed her belief that investing in Turkey would attract more Chinese tourists who would appreciate the country’s beauty. Minister Kacır noted that such investments not only increase Turkey’s brand value but also position the country as a hub for high-tech innovation and global investment.
Highlighting the growth of investments in Turkey over the past 22 years, Kacır shared statistics that showcased the country’s efforts to attract global businesses. He emphasized Turkey’s appeal to European, American, and Chinese brands seeking qualified human resources, alternative supply centers, and access to global markets.
In response to questions about his meetings with Renault Group Global CEO Luca de Meo, Minister Kacır praised Renault’s longstanding presence in Turkey and their commitment to investing in new technologies and vehicle models. He mentioned Renault’s plans to produce hybrid vehicles in Turkey and highlighted their upcoming production of new models in the country.
Kacır emphasized the importance of industrial policy in driving economic growth, stating that countries like Turkey need to focus on developing strategies for industrial advancement to reach their development goals.
