Turkey Continues to Strengthen Diplomatic Relations with Burkina Faso and Sri Lanka
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Kurtulmuş, recently extended his well wishes to Burkina Faso’s Ankara Ambassador, emphasizing the importance of the African continent in Turkey’s foreign policy. Kurtulmuş highlighted Turkey’s commitment to engaging with Africa over the past two decades and expressed a desire to further develop relations with Burkina Faso in various fields.
Turkey’s approach to Africa is guided by the principle of mutual benefit, with a focus on fostering cooperation and collaboration across the continent. Amidst the celebration of Ramadan, Kurtulmuş condemned Israel’s attacks in Gaza, emphasizing the need for peace and solidarity during this sacred month. He expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and reiterated Turkey’s commitment to advocating for justice on the international stage.
In a separate meeting with Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Ankara, Dissanayake, Kurtulmuş emphasized the significance of the bilateral relationship between Turkey and Sri Lanka. He highlighted the friendly nature of the relations and expressed a desire to enhance cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, technology, and culture.
