In 1998, Otokar delivered around 200 4×4 vehicles named Survivor for a special project in Saudi Arabia, and these vehicles continue to serve the country efficiently to this day.
Recently, Otokar has drawn attention with its mine protection solutions for Saudi Arabia. The company has developed various solutions tailored to the country’s needs and showcased them at defense industry fairs. Last year, Otokar signed a contract for the COBRA II 4×4 wheeled armored vehicle, and deliveries were made at the end of the year and the beginning of this year. This marked the expansion of COBRA II exports to Saudi Arabia.
The COBRA II vehicle is known for its high maneuverability, superior ballistics, and effective mine protection. It offers mobility in all terrain conditions, can be equipped with various weapon systems and equipment, and meets a variety of operational needs. With a large interior volume and the capacity to carry up to 9 personnel, the COBRA II is versatile and can be used for tasks such as border security, patrol, reconnaissance, and internal security operations.
