Local Community Celebrates 19 May with Torchlight Procession and Concert
Citizens in Silopi district came together in front of the 172nd Armored Brigade Command to commemorate the 19 May Youth and Sports Day. They marched towards Koç Primary School, proudly holding torches and a 300-meter Turkish flag.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the community participated in the torchlight procession, showcasing their patriotism and unity. A dazzling fireworks display added to the festive ambiance, followed by a lively concert that entertained the crowd.
Addressing the audience during the program, Silopi District Governor Cihat Koç expressed his best wishes for the special day, celebrating the values of Atatürk and the significance of youth and sports in the country. The event was attended by a large number of citizens, as well as members of the district protocol, who joined in the festivities with enthusiasm and pride.
