Turkish Groom and Mother-in-Law Arrested!
A shocking family relationship has been making headlines in Turkey, as a 21-year-old groom candidate, Cuma Dogan, and his 47-year-old mother-in-law, Güldane, have been arrested after allegations of a forbidden love affair. The scandal was first brought to light on Esra Erol’s program, sparking a widespread reaction from the public.
According to reports, social media has been buzzing with rumors of the romantic involvement between the groom and his mother-in-law. Dilek Şahin, who has a disabled report, went to Esra Erol with claims that his wife and mother ran away together, revealing that the 21-year-old Cuma and his mother-in-law Güldane had an illicit relationship and that she was pregnant with his child.
Dilek shared that after Cuma got engaged to Güldane’s daughter, he started frequently visiting their house and behaving affectionately towards the elder woman. She also expressed fear for her life after witnessing the two together and being threatened not to tell her father. The disabled young girl’s father, Turan Şahin, accused Güldane of kidnapping his daughter.
Further revelations on the program disclosed that Güldane was three months pregnant with Cuma’s child, adding more fuel to the fire. The scandalous affair prompted the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) to launch an investigation into Esra Erol’s program for airing the controversial story.
During a live broadcast of the program, both Cuma and Güldane were detained on charges of deliberate injury and threats. It was also discovered that Cuma had deserted from the military service. The two individuals were subsequently arrested for making qualified threats in court, marking a tragic end to this forbidden love affair.
