Turkish Intelligence Agency Targets Qamishli Terrorist: Abdulhamit Kapar Neutralized

The National Intelligence Organization has successfully neutralized the so-called General Manager of PKK Institutions, Tekin Guyi codenamed Abdulhamit Kapar, in an operation carried out in Qamishli, Syria. Kapar, who was a key figure within the YPG, the Military Wing of the PKK/KCK in Syria, was responsible for various important units such as the Finance Unit, Logistics Unit, Internationals Battalion, Courier Unit, Industry Unit, Prisons, and Tunnel Construction.

Abdulhamit Kapar, also known as Tekin Guyi, was a wanted terrorist who was involved in the deadly attack against Şırnak/Uludere Taşdelen Gendarmerie Station in 1992, where 26 privates were martyred and 2 privates were kidnapped. Despite being in the organization for 32 years, Kapar attempted to evade capture by fleeing after a previous operation carried out by MİT in Derik in 2021, but he was finally apprehended in Qamishli.

Tekin Guyi, who joined the PKK/KCK in 1992, has operated in various regions in Iraq and Syria, holding different positions within the organization over the years. From a military training coordinator to a senior officer in customs and public security, Kapar rose through the ranks to become the so-called General Manager of PKK/YPG Institutions in 2021.
