Turkish Judge and Prosecutor Roles Shift Last Minute: Latest Update
The HSK First Chamber has recently made an evaluation which resulted in the publication of a new decree on the Board’s website. This decree involves the appointment of 268 judges and prosecutors to new positions, in response to the demands of both the judges and public prosecutors.
Among the appointments, notable changes include Çanakkale Chief Public Prosecutor Altuğ Kürşat Şahin being appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Adana, and Adana Chief Public Prosecutor Bilal Gümüş being appointed to the Supreme Court of Appeals Public Prosecutor’s Office. Additionally, Özkan Gürdoğan, the Chief Public Prosecutor of İzmir, has been appointed as the new Chief Public Prosecutor of Çanakkale.
