Turkish Meteor Maneuver Sparks Panic as Greece’s Secrets are Revealed
Greek Prime Minister Kiryakos Micotakis has made a plea to French President Emmanuel Macron to halt the sale of a meteor missile to Turkey. Despite facing rejection from Macron, Micotakis is reportedly reaching out to officials from other countries within the consortium.
The Ministry of National Defense sources in Turkey have responded to the concerns raised by Greece, stating that the Meteor missile is a new generation long-range missile of European origin. Turkey plans to equip its Air Force with the Gökhan Air-Air missile as an alternative to the meteor missile. The development of the meteor missile with Eurofighter aircraft will continue until the Gökhan missile is ready for deployment.
Following Turkey’s recent actions that have unsettled Greece, Micotakis has been questioned about his discussions with Macron regarding the meteor missile. Micotakis reiterated that his government maintains a consistent policy and will not deviate from their stance on the matter.
