Turkish Minister Güler Expresses Confidence in Syrian National Army’s Liberation Efforts
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler recently conducted a video teleconference meeting with top military officials to discuss the security situation along the Syrian border. The meeting included Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Land Forces Commander General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and Air Forces Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.
During the meeting, Minister Yaşar Güler highlighted the challenges Turkey has faced due to the presence of PKK-YPG and ISIS terrorist organizations in Syria. He emphasized the significant sacrifices made by Turkey, including the loss of over 600 citizens and numerous attacks on Turkish provinces.
Minister Güler praised the Turkish Armed Forces for their successful operations in Syria to combat terrorist organizations and secure the border. He also reiterated Turkey’s commitment to supporting the Syrian people and ensuring their security and stability.
The Minister emphasized the importance of cooperating with the new administration in Syria and continuing efforts to eliminate terrorist elements from the region. He underlined Turkey’s determination to prioritize the liquidation of the PKK-YPG terrorist organization in Syria and northern Iraq.
