
Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Honors Bak Champion Angels

Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, visited the Champion Angels’ graves in Famagusta, TRNC, during his visit to attend the opening ceremonies of the Sports Council and Science Center. Accompanied by Turkey’s Ambassador to Nicosia, Metin Feyzioğlu, Minister Bak was received at the cemetery by the Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, and the families of the Champion Angels.
During the visit, Minister Bak paid his respects to the graves of the Champion Angels by laying flowers. He also took the opportunity to meet with their families and express his condolences.
The families of the Champion Angels requested support from Minister Bak regarding the planned construction of a sports facility to honor their memory and ensure justice. In response, Minister Bak assured them that the Turkish government would fulfill any promises made by state officials and provide support for the facility that will keep the name of the Champion Angels alive.
Minister Bak emphasized that the Republic of Turkey has a strong track record of building sports facilities and reiterated their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sports and honor the memory of the Champion Angels.
During the visit, a recitation of the Holy Quran was conducted by Faruk Seçkin, the Famagusta Director of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
The visit of Minister Bak to the graves of the Champion Angels serves as a testament to the Turkish government’s commitment to honoring the memory of sports heroes and supporting their families. It also highlights the importance of building sports facilities that contribute to the development of youth and promote the values of sportsmanship.
