Turkish Minister Soylu Accused of FETO Ties and Inciting Violence in Erzurum
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has spoken about recent events in Turkey in an interview on “Net View Special” program on TV Net. Soylu commented on the “People’s Gathering” in Erzurum, which resulted in injuries to some citizens and said that Ekrem İmamoğlu, the mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, held a rally where it was not permitted, and the Supreme Election Board (YSK) had designated as a rally square, resulting in a provocation. Soylu added that 16 of the 21 people who were identified as making provocations were detained and emphasised the importance of holding rallies in designated areas to avoid provocations. Furthermore, during the interview, the minister mentioned the recent growth of Turkey’s sphere of influence that is considered by some nations as disturbing, underlining that their policies are broken by using UAVs and SİHAs in countries located thousands of miles away, and this could be against their interests. Finally, he assured that there is security and that they will not allow anyone to break the law.
