Turkmenistan’s State Commodity Exchange Sees Successful Trading
On Friday, February 2, the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan saw a successful trading session, with various products being sold both domestically and internationally. Among the products traded were petrochemical products, light industry goods, building materials, and the renowned handmade Turkmen carpets.
In the international market, entrepreneurs from countries such as Afghanistan and Kazakhstan engaged in deals with the State Concern Turkmennebit for the purchase of base oil, diesel fuel, and polypropylene. Likewise, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan signed a deal with the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan for the purchase of smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products. Furthermore, representatives of the Turkish business community also concluded deals with Turkmen companies for the purchase of denim trousers, denim, and cotton yarn.
On the domestic front, Turkmen entrepreneurs sealed deals with Turkmennebit for the purchase of polypropylene, and with the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan for float flat glass and handmade Turkmen carpets.
The trading session resulted in 19 deals being concluded, with a total amount of 3,057,024.68 manats and $29,527,684.07. These impressive figures illustrate the productive nature of the exchange.
