Turkmen Youth Devote Their Abilities to Motherland Prosperity
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow has been implementing great reforms for the happy life of the youth and the bright future of the Turkmen people. In a recent address, he noted that the city of Arkadag should be a city of youth, emphasizing the importance of young people as the foundation of the state’s development.
The President’s words have rung true, as young people in Turkmenistan have been actively participating in various aspects of the country’s political, economic, and cultural life. In Arkadag city, more than 300 students from higher educational institutions of the country have contributed to the installation of digital systems and programs, as well as modern solutions.
To encourage young people engaged in software development and innovative products, the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency holds an annual competition for innovative projects, called “Digital Solution.” Since its inception in 2020, the competition has seen over 1,000 IT projects submitted by young programmers, with the number of participants steadily increasing each year.
The Telecommunications and Informatics Institute of Turkmenistan, in partnership with the Turkmenaragatnashyk agency, has been training highly educated specialists in the field of IT. The agency has been certified as an authorized institution for the transition to the digital economy. The “Sanly çözgüt IT meýdança” economic society, which is affiliated with the institute, has been accepting orders from various departments related to the transition to the digital economy, aiding in the implementation of the “Concept of development the digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2019-2025” and the “Concept of development the digital education system in Turkmenistan.”
The efforts of young people have not gone unnoticed, with various individuals being recognized for their contributions. Ussayev Baymuhammet was awarded for his scientific work in 2021 and a Youth Award in 2022, while Nuryev Azym and Gurbanova Guljemal earned recognition for their achievements in competition among students and professionals, respectively.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedow’s commitment to the youth and their future has paved the way for young people in Turkmenistan to excel and contribute significantly to the country’s development. As the youth continue to play an essential role in shaping the nation’s future, the President’s vision for a city of youth in Arkadag is slowly but surely coming to fruition.
