Turkmenistan Delegation’s Study Tour in Georgia
A delegation from Turkmenistan is currently on a study visit in Tbilisi from 27-31 May 2024 to learn about the best practices in the WTO accession negotiation process and advancing national trade policies.
The delegation from Turkmenistan consists of representatives from various key ministries and departments such as the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank, the State Customs Service, and others.
During their visit, the Turkmen delegation has been engaging in meetings with their counterparts at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Revenue Service of Georgia, and the Customs Department. These meetings have focused on bilateral relations in the field of economy and trade, the WTO membership process, Georgia’s accession to the WTO, and related commitments. Discussions have also touched on topics like modernizing and simplifying customs procedures, implementing fiscal reforms within the WTO membership, and other relevant issues.
The visit of the Turkmen delegation to Tbilisi is ongoing, with the delegation continuing to engage in discussions and learning from the experiences of their Georgian counterparts.
