Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry Holds Meeting with CIS First Deputy Secretary General
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, recently met with the First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Leonid Anfimov, at the MFA of Turkmenistan on April 20, 2024. Anfimov was visiting on a working visit to discuss cooperation between CIS member states in various areas.
During the meeting, discussions were held on enhancing collaboration in political, economic, environmental, cultural, and humanitarian aspects, as well as in sports. The Turkmen side’s involvement in events organized by the CIS Executive Committee in 2024 was addressed, highlighting the importance of participation in such initiatives.
Preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in May, scheduled to take place in Ashgabat, were also on the agenda. This meeting is expected to further strengthen ties and cooperation among CIS member states.
