Turkmenistan government sets deadline for submission of 2024 state budget

The Ministry of Finance and Economy in Turkmenistan has been ordered to turn in drafts of the State budget for 2024, the main directions of the country’s socio-economic development and its investment plans for next year by November 1, 2023. The directive was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting last Saturday.

The Ministry of Finance will need to distribute forms and guidelines for compiling the development projects to ministries, sectoral departments, regional administrations, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag settlement by June 1, 2023.

To aid in the preparation of the projects, the ministry has also been tasked with creating a working group of experts.
