Turkmenistan Women’s Futsal Team Triumphs in Asian Cup Qualifier
The Turkmenistan women’s futsal team achieved a thrilling victory against Kuwait in the third round of the 2025 Asian Cup qualifiers. The match, which took place in Tashkent as part of the Group C games, ended with a 4-3 score in favor of Turkmenistan.
Pervana Kurbanova was the star of the game, scoring two goals for the winning team. Maria Charyeva and Surai Mammetsahedova also contributed with a goal each. This win was especially significant for Kamil Mingazov’s team as it was their first victory in the qualifying tournament, following defeats against Australia (1-6) and the Philippines (0-2).
The Turkmen team’s next challenge will be against the host team, Uzbekistan, on January 19 in Tashkent. The match is scheduled to begin at 18:00.
