Türkmenköy Champion Angels Children’s Park and Recreational Area opens its doors
The “Türkmenköy Champion Angels Children’s Park and Recreation Area” has been inaugurated by the Beyarmudu Municipality in an effort to honor the memory of the Champion Angels. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek, Champion Angels Association President Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya, regional headmen, school principals, and many citizens.
During his speech at the ceremony, Association President Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya expressed determination to keep the memory of the Champion Angels alive and continue the fight for justice. He emphasized the importance of the park in providing strength and hope, pledging to never give up the pursuit of justice.
Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek highlighted that the projects in the region aim to enhance the quality of life for the residents. He spoke about the significance of preserving the memory of the Champion Angels and reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to working for the welfare of the people.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel vowed to pursue the Champion Angels case diligently, ensuring that those responsible receive the punishment they deserve. He reiterated their dedication to seeking justice for the Champion Angels.
President Ersin Tatar addressed the importance of creating permanent works such as parks to honor those who have passed away, including the students, teachers, and families of Gazi Famagusta Turkish Maarif College. He paid tribute to the Champion Angels as martyrs of the Turkish Cypriots, acknowledging the enduring pain felt by the community.
The ceremony concluded with attendees visiting the park and engaging in activities with children. The efforts to seek justice and uphold the memory of the Champion Angels were commended, symbolizing a commitment to remembrance and advocacy for a just cause.
