The Deputy Prime Minister of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, in charge of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, has been invited to participate in the II. TURKSOY Museum Union Country Coordinators Workshop. The event is scheduled to take place on April 8-9 at the Acapulco Resort Convention Spa Hotel in Kyrenia.

Representatives from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Gagavuzya will gather in our country for the first time to share their experiences in the field of museums within the Turkish World. The main goal of the workshop is to foster cooperation and collaboration among the participating countries.

On the evening of Monday, April 7, there will be an archive-based documentary exhibition titled “On the Coast of Freedom” at the Acapulco Resort Convention Spa Hotel, where the Country Coordinators will be staying during their visit.

The following day, on April 8, the participants will attend the opening of the International Cultural Heritage Protection and Research Symposium organized by the TRNC National Archives and Research Department, TRNC Antiquities and Museums Department, Turkish Cultural Heritage Protection, and Research Association, and Alashia Terracotta Art Society. This will be followed by a series of museum meetings.

In the evening of April 8, an event will be held for the opening of the “Museum of Cyprus and the Museum of Cyprus,” featuring contributions from the Antiquities and Museums Department. On April 9, the delegates will visit various museums in the region and present them with membership certificates.

The closing event of the workshop will take place on the evening of April 9 at the Acapulco Resort Convention Spa Hotel, after which the delegates will depart from the country on April 10. This workshop promises to be a fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences in the field of museums and cultural heritage preservation within the Turkish World.
