Israeli Forces Carry Out Drone Attack and Raid on Balata Refugee Camp in Nablus
Israeli forces launched a drone attack on the Al-Jamasin neighborhood in the Balata Refugee Camp in Nablus, along with a raid involving a large number of armored vehicles and snipers positioned on tall buildings.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that a 17-year-old child and a 24-year-old young man were killed in the airstrike and raid, with 22 others wounded, three of them in serious condition. The injured were taken to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, according to the ministry.
The Palestinian Red Crescent updated the number of injured to 29, including five in serious condition, in a statement. Among the seriously injured was reported to be a Palestinian Red Crescent employee who was attacked while trying to evacuate the wounded in the area.
The Israeli army confirmed in a statement that airstrikes were carried out on Nablus, adding to the escalating violence in the region.
Since October 7, 2023, the death toll from attacks by Israeli soldiers and Israeli seizure of Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem has reached 591, with this latest incident adding to the tragic toll of the ongoing conflict.
