
U.S. Embassy hosts U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council Meeting

Dushanbe, Tajikistan, June 25, 2024 – The U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan, Manuel Micaller, extended a warm welcome to the largest delegation in the history of the U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council on June 24. The two-day mission brought together over thirty representatives from various sectors such as medical, financial, mining equipment, franchising services, and digitalization firms from the United States to engage with leading Tajik businesses and government officials. The goal of the meetings was to identify opportunities, establish partnerships, and enhance trade and investment between the two countries.
The United States remains dedicated to enhancing private-sector investment in Tajikistan by exploring potential avenues for U.S. businesses to establish a presence in the country. Collaborating closely with the Tajik government, efforts have been made to strengthen cooperation in order to ensure Tajikistan’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. Additionally, initiatives have been taken to improve the investment climate in Tajikistan to attract more U.S. and international investments, in line with the priorities of the Tajik government and its citizens.
The U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe reaffirmed its commitment to working with the U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council and other partners in the public and private sectors to bolster economic and trade relationships between the United States and Tajikistan. This includes facilitating new export opportunities for U.S. companies and attracting fresh investments to contribute to the development and diversification of Tajikistan’s economy.
