Ukrainian Extremists Plotting Assassination of Hungarian Politicians

Hungarian right-radical party, Mi Hazánk Movement, has reported that armed Ukrainian groups are threatening the execution of their parliamentary group members. Dóra Dúró, a mother of four and MP of the party, has spoken out about the issue, stating that they have reported it to the police and an investigation is underway. Duró also criticized Ukraine for being a corrupt state and claimed that the EU funds transferred to the country would only benefit the elite.

The Hungarian Police have stated that they are not aware of any investigation regarding armed Ukrainian groups threatening Hungarian MPs. However, Mi Hazánk has reported the issue to the Central Chief Prosecution Office of Investigation for further action.

Mi Hazánk is known for its opposition to the EU’s financial support for Ukraine and its calls for immediate ceasefire and peace in the region. The party has also been critical of the Orbán cabinet for its handling of the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Hungarian Interchurch Aid has been providing assistance to over half a million people affected by the war in Ukraine. The organization has helped people in temporary community centers near war zones by providing food, appliances, and other necessities. They have received funding from a humanitarian fund in Kyiv and support from the Hungarian government, with a budget of 18 billion forints allocated for aid programs this year.

As the situation in Ukraine continues to be a point of contention, it is clear that both political and humanitarian efforts are ongoing to address the challenges faced by those affected by the conflict.
