Ümit Özdağ responds to Özgür Özel: CHP chairmanship demands expertise
The Victory Party is gaining momentum in Turkey, according to Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who announced that they have seen an increase in votes in various regions of the country. In his recent meeting with the press in Ordu, Özdağ revealed the results of the party’s survey, stating that they have seen growth in their voter base in the Marmara, Aegean, and Mediterranean regions. Furthermore, he noted that the upward trend in voting rates is also visible in the Black Sea and Central Anatolia regions.
Özdağ expressed confidence in the party’s growing success, citing a goal of surpassing 10 percent of the votes across Turkey in the upcoming elections. He emphasized that public support for the Victory Party policies is on the rise, and their interactions with citizens have reinforced their optimism.
In addition to discussing the political climate, Özdağ criticized CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, calling for a stronger sense of understanding and knowledge in his role. Özdağ stated that CHP Chairmanship requires historical knowledge and an appreciation for Turkish heritage, while highlighting a recent statement by Özel regarding the Sheikh Sait rebellion as an example of a lack of understanding.
Following his press meeting, Özdağ continued his visit in Ordu by meeting with local business owners and citizens in the Altınordu district. He then made a stop at the Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry before attending a ‘Victory’ conference at the Atatürk Cultural Center. With ongoing interactions and positive survey results, the Victory Party seems poised for a promising future in Turkish politics.
