Unifying Behind an Independent Candidate: BRTK Proposal
Erhan Arikli, Chairman of the Rebirth Party and Minister of Public Works and Transport, recently made significant statements at a party event in Famagusta. During the event, he addressed the upcoming presidential elections and other pressing issues on the party’s agenda.
Sharing his speech on social media, Arikli announced that the Party Assembly is set to convene in April to discuss government matters. He emphasized that the final decision regarding the presidential elections will be made during this meeting.
Arikli highlighted the importance of party loyalty, stating, “We cannot vote for the candidate of another party in the Presidential elections.” Additionally, he touched upon the ongoing debate surrounding headscarf wearing in schools during his speech at the event.
In a call to action, Arikli also urged the public to join a protest in front of Bekirpaşa High School on Tuesday to address the issue of headscarf wearing. As the Rebirth Party continues to navigate these critical issues, Arikli’s leadership and stance on party principles remain at the forefront of their agenda.
