
Uninformed Civil Servant Friend Owes Turkish Cypriot History

Prime Minister Ünal Üsel welcomed with enthusiasm upon his return to the country after completing his contacts in the Republic of Türkiye. The National Unity Party (UBP) members greeted Prime Minister Üsel with drums and Zurna in the Ercan VIP Hall, showing their support by waving TRNC, TC, and UBP flags.
Party members not only welcomed Üsel with flowers at the VIP exit but also condemned any insulting statements made towards him. Prime Minister Üsel expressed his gratitude to the party members and citizens for their warm welcome, emphasizing the strong history of struggle and unity between TRNC and TC.
Reacting to recent disrespectful remarks, Prime Minister Üsel called them “unlimited, cruel, and unacceptable,” highlighting the sacrifices made by Turkish Cypriot people in their fight for independence. He emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity between TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye to continue advancing the interests of the Turkish Cypriot people.
In a firm stance against those who fail to recognize the history and struggle of Turkish Cypriots, Prime Minister Üsel declared that they will not back down from fighting for their rights and demanded an apology for the disrespectful comments. He reaffirmed his commitment to working hand in hand with the Republic of Türkiye to further develop TRNC and demonstrate their unity to the world.
After expressing his gratitude to everyone who welcomed him, Prime Minister Üsel left the area, ready to continue his efforts in leading TRNC towards a prosperous future.
