Union sets fire in Güzelyurt – BRTK报道
The controversy over the use of headscarves in schools continues following the amendment to the disciplinary charter. Opponents of the new regulation gathered in Güzelyurt to protest against the implementation.
Union members, organization representatives, and politicians came together at Güzelyurt Bus Terminal to voice their opposition to the amendment. The action, led by KTÖS and KTOEÖS, garnered support from around 70 individuals and began with a speech by Hak-Sen President Salih Erşangil.
Erşangil emphasized the importance of standing against the imposition of the new regulation and expressed solidarity with teachers and organizations leading the struggle. He vowed to continue the fight against the discriminatory policy.
Umut Ersoy, the Secretary General of Independence Road, highlighted the issue of forcing girls to cover their heads and condemned it as a form of child abuse. He also denounced the influence of political Islamists and vowed to continue the fight for equality and justice.
