United We Stand: A Cross-Border Pilgrimage Celebrating Hungarian Unity

Pilgrimage Celebrates Unity Among Hungarians
On Saturday, Balázs Hankó, the Minister of Culture and Innovation, emphasized the enduring bond of the Hungarian nation during a pilgrimage that commenced in Săcueni (Szekelyhíd), located in northwestern Romania. This pilgrimage, led by Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte, aimed to symbolize the unity of Hungarians as they crossed the Romanian-Hungarian border en route to Álmosd in Hungary.
At the “Love Trail,” a site commemorating the love story of poet Sándor Petőfi and Júlia Szendrey, Hankó delivered an inspiring welcoming speech. He highlighted the significance of love within families, stating, “From love comes family, from family children, and from children a future." He expressed a hopeful vision that from the many Hungarian families, a lasting nation will emerge, reinforcing the mission of unity and togetherness.
The event resonates with the broader theme of cultural solidarity, as it celebrates not just the past but the future of Hungary and its people in the heart of Europe, particularly within the Carpathian Basin.
This pilgrimage serves as a powerful reminder of the shared heritage and identity among Hungarians, reinforcing the minister’s call for unity and enduring family values as a foundation for a vibrant future.
