Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Inspects Roads Leading to Presidential Campus

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, recently conducted an inspection of the roads under construction that lead to the Presidential Campus, which includes the Presidency, Republican Assembly, and National Garden.

During his inspection, Uraloğlu was briefed on the progress of the road works on Nazım Hikmet Street, one of the access roads to the campus. Turkey’s Ambassador to Nicosia, Yasin Ekrem Serim, and Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, accompanied Uraloğlu during the inspection.

In a statement to the press, Erhan Arıklı highlighted the significance of the day as the foundation for the 4.6-kilometer second stage of the Nicosia Northern Ring Road was laid. He also mentioned that the completion time for the road has been reduced to 8 months by the contractor company.

Arıklı emphasized that 2025 will be a crucial year for the development of highways in the region. Uraloğlu also expressed optimism about the completion of the Nicosia Northern Ring Road, the Presidential Campus, and other transportation roads by the end of the year.

Stressing the importance of these investments for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Uraloğlu expressed his hopes that these projects would benefit the people of the TRNC. With these ongoing infrastructure developments, the region is set to see significant improvements in its transportation network in the near future.
