Temperatures are on the rise due to the southwest effect, with temperatures expected to be 3-4 degrees above average in both inner and western regions. The rain is expected to subside in Istanbul, only to return on Monday evening and continue into Tuesday. Residents in Istanbul can expect rainy weather for the next few days, with heavy rain anticipated in the eastern districts of Antalya tomorrow afternoon.
The Meteorology Department has issued warnings for 17 cities, including Istanbul, Izmir, and Antalya. Citizens are advised to be cautious as sudden floods, hail, strong winds, and storms may occur, leading to transportation disruptions. The weather warning includes a yellow code for cities such as Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, and Konya, and an orange code for Antalya, Aydın, Izmir, and Muğla.
In addition, snow and sleet are expected in the inland areas, while coastal regions may experience light showers. Icing and frost events are likely to occur in the east of Central Anatolia and the Eastern Anatolia Region.
