US denies responsibility for Kremlin attacks, says White House

US Denies Involvement in Drone Attacks in Ukraine

The United States has denied any involvement in the recent drone attacks in Ukraine. Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov had previously blamed the US for the attacks, claiming that they were orchestrated from Washington and not from Kiev. However, John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator of the White House National Security Council, dismissed these claims as “lying”.

Kirby called the accusations “ridiculous” and stated that the US had nothing to do with the attacks. He added that at present, they did not know who was responsible for the attacks. Furthermore, Kirby emphasized that the US did not condone attacks on leaders and was against Ukraine conducting attacks outside of their own territory.

Kirby also reiterated that Russia was the “aggressor” in the ongoing conflict and that the US did not dictate anything to Ukraine while they were defending themselves. He also addressed rumors that Russia may attempt to sabotage countries supporting Ukraine and damage NATO’s critical infrastructure systems and stated that they were monitoring the situation closely.

Regarding leaked documents related to Ukraine from the US Department of Defense, Kirby stated that Ukraine has almost everything it needs while conducting offensive operations and that they were providing additional assistance to support the country.

Earlier this week, the Kremlin reported that Ukraine attempted to attack Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence in the Kremlin Palace at night with drones. Kirby did not comment on this specific incident but maintained that the US was not involved in the attacks.
